Subject: Flavor of Georgia Food Product Contest
Dear Flavor of Georgia Participant:
Congratulations, your product has been selected to participate as a finalist in the 2008 Flavor of Georgia food product contest. The final judging will take place on March 17th and 18th in The Blue Room of the Georgia Freight Depot in downtown Atlanta. If you submitted more than one product, you will be notified of further details about which product is in the finals over the next few days by letter and email. The letter will also include important information regarding your participation in the contest, including:
a.. The schedule/agenda for the two days. In brief, you will have to report to the Blue Room between 12:00 noon and 1:45 pm on the 17th to set up for judging to begin at 2:30 pm. The judging will be followed at 5:30 pm by a networking reception including the judging panel. All of the Georgia legislators will also be invited to this reception, so you will be able to highlight your Georgia product to both judges and legislators. On the 18th, the finals will be part of the Governor's Ag Awareness Day and he is scheduled to hand out awards by about 12:30 pm.
b.. Name and contact information for a hotel with a reserved block of rooms in Atlanta at a special rate
c.. Details about the facilities at the Blue Room and what you might need to bring in order to participate
Since there are nearly 40 of you in the finals, please try and limit your phone calls, as it will answer most, if not all of your questions. In the letter, there will be names and contact information for people to contact for more information if it doesn't answer all of your questions. Further, please expect a call or contact from Stephanie Schupska or others from the UGA Office of Communications regarding press release information.
