I think you're in for some good PR. I would look in your local paper and
find opportunities to submit articles about your business. You might try the
food section of the paper for starters.

I am a relatively new entrepreneur and brand new to this list. I started a
small candy company last March. Our name is Heavenly Confections, Inc. We
make a very special candy that we call GODZ Candy. The candy is a family
recipe and one of a kind. It is wonderful and the responses of people who
try it have been overwhelming.
We would like to be able to wholesale the candy to retail establishments. We
have been taking the candy to arts and craft festivals around our area and
have had great success doing that. However, on the one or two occasions that
we have put in stores, it has not done well. I am pretty sure that the
reason is that people do not know what it is. At the fairs, we give samples
and as soon as people taste it, the sale is made. We need to do more
branding so that people recognize what
it is by name. Stores do not really have the ability to give away samples so
I have backed off of putting in stores until it is better known by name. I
do not want store owners to have a bad experience with it.
Any ideas on how we might better accomplish the branding phase?
