Making an ebook is easy. The hardest part is marketing it. Getting
people to buy, that is.
The important thing you must not overlook is choosing a niche. A niche
where people in that niche won't hesitate to spend money on your product.
Hence, if you want to focus on selling, you should not just write
about your hobby. But you should think whether your hobby is
marketable or not. For example, you're good at photoshop, and want to
write a book about how to use it. However, www is full of FREE
photoshop tutorial. Hence, marketing it, even in front of right
audience, can be hard. You can however, write about how to create an
ebook cover or ezine cover or DVD cover for infoproduct using photoshop.
Therefore, in my opinion, if you really want to have an easier time
selling your book, you should appeal to desperate buyers only.
Who are they and how to write such books ?
Read: Desperate Buyers Only ebook by Alexis which can be found in
warrior forum.
www.warriorforum.com.
--> look at recommended product, there you'll see Desperate Buyer
Ebook. It's very good. The book shows you categories of desperate
buyers in details, and how to write such books, even if you are not an
expert in that field.
Then if you don't know the technique behind creating an ebook, you
should read Alf's book: an ebook on how to produce an ebook.
http://www.databasedesign-resource.com/free-ebook.html
NOTE: it's not free though, I don't know why he put his non-free ebook
on a free ebook html page.
There is also another product called info product dashboard by marlon
sanders. I haven't used it, but I heard good things bout it.
IMHO, the 7-day ebook is less helpful. Well, for a beginner may be
good since it gives a good overview on writing an ebook. But it lacks
details to be really useful. Well, to be fair, may I just say that it
might just be that when it was written it's a new idea. But right now,
it's not worth it.
HOpe this helps.
