[entrepreneurs] Give me your honest opinion, please!

I work as an LPN and we are in the process of getting county certified
for children's foster care. I have been doing private respite care for
children and young adults for years. I also have been "tossing" around
the idea of being licensed for an adult family home (state license).
I say tossing because this is what I have wanted for years, but
everytime I fill out the paperwork something chokes me up and
that "fear" thing wins. Could somebody just tell me if they have
experienced the same thing? I don't consider myself as having low self
esteem, but I think I have been working too long for a paycheck and not
thinking outside the box. I do genuinely love caring for others, so I
don't understand why I have this terrible fear of failing. So what, I
could work for someone else the rest of my life and never get ahead.
Ugh. My children are young, I would like them to not think that they
have to work 9-5 for someone. Someone please give me a couple words of
encouragement or a realistic smack! I am also interested in starting a
nursing/family website where people could talk about
healthcare/aging/illness,etc. but I am clueless about getting traffic.
Also, my 8 year old daughter loves to bake and has been for the last
year, at least. It's great...She is interested in starting a little
pet bakery. I am very excited about this, do you think this is a great
idea? I never thought about this stuff at her age!
Could anyone give me a few pointers? I would appreciate any personal
or public replies. Thank you in advance!
Jennifer
