custom "recipe art". He is an illustrator and has created groupings
of illusrated images that can be put with a favorite family recipe to
create a family keepsake. Up until now, he has marketed his work
through shows, reps, and word of mouth. He is now venturing onto the
internet. Recipearttogo.com Because of the custom nature of each
piece, (your Mom's famous chili recipe) put together with his tomato,
onion and stock pot, custom orders will work best through his site.
He has had companies want to sell his custom work, but we don't know
whether they should sell "packets" that would allow the customer to
send him there recipe, or how to set it up so that they could refer
to his site, and still get credit for the sale...how does this work?
He has also had companies approach him to sell premade pieces (their
Lefse recipes). Should he just sell them the pices, or set up a deal
where he would drop ship to there customer. We are trying to figure
out the best way (most profit)to do both of these things. Does anyone
have any recommendations regarding this?
How can we find more internet companies (food, heritage etc.)that
would be interested in "recipe art" where people looking on their
sites might find his work intriguing. There is definitly a group of
people that loves this type of memory, and those who don't care.
