I wouldn't consider anything other than Aweber for my business email
marketing needs.
You do have to pay $20 each and every month, but on the plus side, they
go to bat for you with any s*p*a*m complaints. And they help you steer
clear of the s*p*a*m filters too.
And it would take you four years to reach even the first $1,000 in cost.
Are you experienced with email marketing? (If so, disregard my next
comment.) I have seen very few effective uses of HTML emails. Email
readers often "break" the HTML, for reasons that I don't understand but
have witnessed countless times on my own computer.
At any rate, Aweber can do what you want. You can send text, HTML, and
you can track clickthroughs. You can have unlimited lists and send
autoresponder messages or broadcast messages to one or all lists. I
think you can try it risk-free for the first month.
I have seen the arguments on both sides, hosted solution vs. service,
and for most applications, a service has more "plusses", and Aweber is
one of the best email service solutions out there.

Hi All
Please help! I have looking at email software for emarketing and would
love some advice and suggestions. I need something that can send text
and html mailers as well as track the click thrus. I have looked at
Swift Page, KT 8 and Group Mail. The latter looks the easiest to use
but I also want to produce a stunning newsletter design. I want to
include our website logo and other links from www.remoteemployment.com.
I would love to hear from anyone who has found the right solution
without having had to spend a fortune. Some companies quote 1000s!
