Re: [entrepreneurs] Fastfood Name

Thank you so much for your suggestions. I will certainly keep them on file for final consideration. The concept is really very interesting, with all the spins you could make out of Flip. There's just a bit of a problem though. Doesn't "flip" mean "weird" in a pejorative sense? Here in our country when you refer to somebody who's a bit crazy you call him a flip. But we could spin it off as "hamburger-crazy" or "crazy-burger." Your ideas really open up a lot of possibilities. Thanks again. I wish you all the best.

Arcenasf,

How about "Flips." You can capitalize on the McDonald's - Ronald
McDonald clown by having circus atmosphere - decor. "Flippy" the clown
could be your mascot. If you want to capture Americana - call the
restaurant Flips Drive-in and have the parking lot waitresses take
orders from the cars. A modern update of this would be to have the
customers call in their orders from their cell phones in the parking lot
(just a spin with modern technology).

With the word flip - you have lots of superlatives to utilize in
advertising with catch phrases like: flip out, free flip-flops
promotions, tired of familiar fast food - you will flip out with a trip
to Flips. A little more edgy - "has familiar fast food just been
flipping you off - take a quick trip to Flips and you will flip out."

Your product line up could take on names like: "the Big Flipper," "the
Little Flipper," (large & small burgers). To avoid copyright infringe
on the dolphin named Flipper - avoid calling your fish sandwich Flipper
maybe something like --> "the Clown Fish Sandwich" (playing off the
circus theme) or "the Slippy" sandwich (fish are wet and slippery). The
hot dog would be "the Dippy Dog."

And your fries already rhyme if you call them "chips," you could also
just call them "flip-fries. " If you want to add to the menu later -
like a breakfast --> instead of pancakes or flap-jacks you could call
them "flip-jacks. " The breakfast sandwich could be ""Flip-overs" -->
"flip out of bed and grab a quick Flip-over at Flips to start your day
right side up - Flip-over." Light fare like a tossed salad would be a
"flipped salad" - a sandwich wrap would be a "Flip-Flap."

I need to stop - I beginning to flip-out - having too much fun with this
one.

I hope this helps, God Bless, Ed R.
