Re: [entrepreneurs] Re: Give me your honest opinion, please!

Miles,

Right on!

Yes, people will think you have lots of spare time and lots of money, too.:)

The time will come with good management and having the right people in place in your business. That said, it could be years before you get it all together...and find trustworthy employees... My husband has seen many, many come and go. He has taken time to train and educate and then they leave. Not all will do that and not all have, but many do. Then it is back to the drawing board.
Pray that the right people come in quickly and it will be a huge benefit.
My husband has ran his own business (also in the construction field) for years. That may be the hardest area to keep good help, but I know other business owners say similar things.

Good luck with your online presence! I want someday for my hubby to do the same thing, but he is way too far into it right now to switch gears. All in the Lord's timing. It will happen.

Keep us informed!

Hello, Sounds as if you need a boost. I have been in business for
over 27 years and let me tell you, the day I left the box was scary
as hell. This is what I did too get started. Fisrt thing you need to
do is to get your clientel up. Make sure you will hve enough income
coming in to support your family. You will work more hours than you
ever work in a 9 to 5 but once you are estableished you can take a
break and get back to the norm.BUT! it does not stop there. You must
do your paper work on top of working your business. Owning a business
is not all fun and games. People have this mentality that " Oh you
own your own business! you must have plenty of free time to do what
you want too. NOT!!!!!
It takes alot of planing to make it a success. But when you get it up
and running it will be great. I love knowing that I work when I like
not having to punch a clock. Businesses do have there ups and downs.
It is all about management. Lets say that you made 10,000 dollars in
one month and you are like man that is alot of money, I think I am
going to buy me a new car.Bad move. You must set your self a salary
and leave your money in the bank for slow times. If you bought that
new car in hopes that you will make that amount of money every month
and the next month you only made 1000.00 dollars, now you have a
problem.Only when you have a good nest egg in your company account
may you give your self a raise to be able to afford the new car.
As long as you really want to do this you will succeed. It is a
passion not a business that you to build on. Do not think of your
business as a business, think of it as something that you really love
to do. The money will come in time and you will be happy in life at
doing the thing you love to do the most. Life is not about how much
money you make but how happy you are in what you do in life.
I think the online thing is a great idea. I am in the process of
starting an online company myself.I am in the constrution feild and
it is going down hill very fast because of the economy so I need to
do something else to support my family. I have learned about 2 years
worth of knowlage in two months but I kind of like.
So all I can tell you is to go for it and never give up on your dream.
Good luck
Miles
