Re: [entrepreneurs] scams

Ed,

You are 100% correct and so  very well said....  When you find the right business, and they are out there, it really isn't  like work at all...  I finally found my calling.  I love what I do and  I get to help others.  Sometimes your just blessed with something being put in front of you...  Have you ever been to DaniJohnson.com?....  She has amazing information on building any business but her book, Spirit Driven Success, had led me to learn exactly what you stated below.

As for Matt & Kellie, I hope you find what your looking for.

Have a blessed weekend...

Lisa

Matt & Kellie,

Short answer - no. Trustworthy source - the Bible says Ps 118:18-19, "It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the Lord, than to trust in princes." So, I just eliminated everyone (including yourselves), except God.

The definition of a business is a system that makes money. You can look at all the offers and discern how they make money (even the scams make money but you have to perpetuate the scams).

You want to replace your current wage or salary --> that is where you start. How much is that - you wish to replace and from there your journey begins. Can that be done with one investment or one business? There are opportunities out there but maybe you don't want to sell soap or stuff envelopes. The dash of realism in this process comes with can you really make $100,000 / year watching football - well yes you can but you have to work weekends and travel a lot. How many of those jobs are there? Probably less than the people who want to work them - so they can pick the top of the litter. Do you want to compete to be the best football watcher?

If you don't want the 9-5 grind - then you go right to residual types of income. And if you don't know what that means - you need to know because those will be the types of businesses and investments you will need to investigate. Things like rental income, royalties, affiliate marketing, business investments, all can produce residual income.

If you want to own a conventional brick and mortar business, you can find many already up and running businesses for sale (many for well under $100,000) that produce decent cash-flow. Sam Walton started by selling socks door to door, fast forward to today Wal-mart. It was stated in a previous post - we all have to start somewhere.

When you say you are tired of the "work a day world." if you want to be in business for yourself the work has just begun. Confusious (sp?) said: find a job you enjoy doing and you will never work a day in your life. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. Pray hard & study hard - it is work trying to figure out what to do & how to do it.

I hope this helps, God Bless, Ed R.
