Re: [entrepreneurs] $20 per day challenge

Hi Kati!

Why you shouldn't discount eBay just yet for your $20 a day challenge.

I was a classic ebayer for 5 years. Going to estate sales etc... to buy antiques and collectibles. I've trained my eye to recognize a lot of very unique things, and am now training my son Quinn to take over the eBay part. I still do the "pickin" (finding antiques) as my fellow eBay friends in Amarillo call it.

My customers were from all over the world, including famous musicians, actors, and staff at Pixar Animation Studios.

EBay taught me a ton about e-commerce, dealing with online customers, writing web pages, HTML, blogging, lead generation, plus probably a lot more than I can think of right now.

I've been wanting to teach a class at my church for single moms. I grew up with my single mom, and understand from the perspective of the 70's and 80's how difficult it was for my mom to get a good paying job. Just one eBay item a month can pay your water bill, so it's good to know how to list an auction on eBay.

2 years ago a friend asked me to list their Colorado mountain lodge on eBay and that led to my current work, generating internet leads for a team of 8 Realtors here in Amarillo. I really love my work and still work from home.

eBay is great for teaching you skills that you can use in other online ventures. I found that it was very easy for me to make about $1,000 a month on eBay and very difficult to make $3,000. So there is a cap to it as far as what I was doing.

I really recommend Jim Cockrum's email newsletter and I think Rhea probably has a link for him on her site.

Think of eBay as a tool that can generate income when you least expect it.

Cheers, -Jim in Amarillo

I am going enter into a new adventure of being a single parent soon (scary, but finally!) and need to figure out how not to go from bad to worse....I have a couple different odd jobs I do and desperately need to figure out how to earn more from home quickly...like yesterday. I am breaking it down so I am not overwhelmed....I have a challenge for you. If I can earn $20 every day from my home...hopefully on line...I will make it. How hard can that be? I don't want to spend hours doing it....just $20 every day. any genius' out there? I need concrete ideas, not just e-bay..fill out surveys, etc. I am surviving on nothing so am hoping to get some great feedback to just start doing today!! I don't have any money to invest in supplies, stocking items, etc. Can you help me!!

Thanks to this group for every idea and support.
