I understand how you feel. It c can be scary!
If you are talking about doing a home presentation, I suggest just start out by setting up some groupings around the room and let everyone look around as they please. There will likely be questions and comments that lead to a discussion,etc.
You could then offer more ideas,etc. and not have to be up in front of a room of people.
I will say this, though....the first few times you do get in front of a group will be tough, but it DOES get easier the more you do it. You will become more accustomed to reading people,etc. You may have to force yourself to jump in. Invite friends over to practice on...you know them and that should help get you started because they are more familiar to you- less unknown.
I would say that if you enjoy what you do, then sharing with people should be no problem...it doesn't have to come acroos as selling....I never suggest pushing something to someone that just isn't looking for what you offer...find those that want products like you offer.
Share your knowledge of decorating even with non Home Interior stuff....become an expert in the field of decorating. Then, when someone is ready to decorate, they will call on you for advice and suggestions....
Those are some things to start with...
