You have probably heard of the 80/20 rule (Pareto's principle), in business which can mean a lot of things.
Ex. 20% of the people do 80% of the work
80% of the problems come from 20% of the people, etc.
Then we were asked:
As a manager, do you, or do you think you will spend 80% of your time with the 20% of the people causing the problems, or 80% of your time iwth teh 20% of the people causeing the proglems, or 80% of your time with your top 20% best employees? Which is correct? Which is more effective? Explain your reasoning.

In a nutshell...The 80/20 rules says that 80 percent of all of the results that you see come about from only 20% of all the activity that you do. So in essence we are to put our energy into the things that produce the best results.

What is the 80/20 rule???????????????????????Kurt Schweitzer <kurt@urbanvillagescooters.com> wrote: Celia,It's my understanding that titles cannot be copyrighted. On the otherhand, they CAN be trademarked. On the THIRD hand, the Pareto principle (also known as the 80-20 rule, the law of the vital few and the principle of factor sparsity) ispretty widely known and used. The 80/20 principle is so similar thatit's not likely to be able to be trademarked.Check with an Intellectual Property lawyer to be sure.Kurt SchweitzerUrban Village Scootershttp://urbanvillagescooters.com--- In entrepreneursathome@yahoogroups.com, Rudderc@... wrote:>> Hi:> > I am reading The 80/20 Principle by Richard Koch.
