Asking this question is like asking what is the best kind of fruit to eat.
There are many factors and most are personal to YOU.
If you have little money for investment, perhaps the best thing you can do is offer your services. What kinds of skills do you have? If you really think you have no skills...(come on you must!), then there is always simple brawn and elbow grease.
Are you physically able to get out and work? Clean houses? Do yard work? Keep other people's kids in your home? Tutor?
There are many opportunities out there. And, there are some scams and then there are those businesses that are great for certain people (and they do very well at them), but would only be a money pit for you.
All businesses are not created equal.
Research,research, research.
Consider your goals, your skills, your health, your desire, your resources,etc.
Are you a loner or are you a people person? Can you write well? Can you sell? Do you have a marketable hobby?
There are so many questions that you must answer.
Start brainstorming your skill set and desirable business ideas.
A hint...in a down economy, the businesses that have a market or clientele that are people with money will be a better bet.
