Regarding the US apparel market, two good places to start would be the America's Mart (Atlanta) and the Dallas Market Center. Both organizations host two large apparel tradeshows for both buyers and sellers each year. In addition, both organization's web sites provide a "classified" section for manufacturer's who are seeking buyers or independent sales reps to introduce and sell their products in the US.
