Great idea (I like it when people implement ideas I have been thinking about for awhile) with the recent Chinese contaminated pet food incident last year still fresh in peoples mind. Fear sells (just ask the weather channel) - you should highly publicize the fact that your ingredients are all natural, all organic and home grown (if they are).
Simply go to your local pet food store and ask them what it takes to sell your products there. And also go to the organic grocery chain stores - one is Whole Foods and I can not remember the other. They sell this all natural pet food stuff also. There are also non-chain organic food stores as well (let your fingers do the walking - check out the Yellow pages). Most of the local stores are independently owned and can give you shelf space for a reasonable retail mark-up of course. They may ask for a larger than your average farmers market quantity so be prepared to to mix up that volume right away.
There is also a FREE web site - livedeals.com that people sell pets and other stuff on. Post an ad on there with a photo of your treats and your contact information. You will also find other web-site when you look at some of the other posting - where you might want to also contact and post ads on.
