Fellow Michiganian: There are several different approaches you can take with this. I think you have a product that should sell itself (as long as the costs are competitive).
1) Go to your local governance (city, county, township, etc) offer to spray a park area for free in exchange for posting a few small signs in the area that you sprayed. Also for the price of that church bulletin ad (if it is the one that prints the bulletins for free), you can also do some local cable commercials. Most people are very surprised by how inexpensive that is. This would obviously keep you local and small for a relatively small cost.
2) Someone has already asked about Florida, there are many states where mosquitos are even more abundant than in Michigan (I know it is hard to imagine). Louisiana, South Carolina, and several northern states like Minnesota, etc, where there is plenty of water. Can you handle that kind of volume? If you can, take an ad out in some nationally published magazines and / or place some ads on nationally viewed web-sites. This is a bit of the traditional approach.
3) Go viral - do a demo on YouTube forward it to some friends and ask them to forward it and post it on some enviro friendly blogs, see where that goes.
