to $72K the next year, to $92K, $98K and last year after a lot of talk
about mind set we broke $250k. I honestly believe it's a number that
we have set in mind. This year our goal is to break $500k. The thing
is, if you can set a goal at $25k, then there really is no difference
in that and $100k...it's just a bigger number. When you take the
emotion out of it and just work the numbers it's not so bad. We took
our goal, broke it down to monthly and then to a weekly and then to a
daily figure. We do our level best to do that daily figure. We don't
worry about tomorrow, only concentrate on today. If we don't make it,
we don't carry anything forward. We just do our level best the next
day to meet our daily goal.
Obviously, we set goals at the beginning of each year and make a plan
of action for a monthly, 6 month, 1 year and 5 year plan. It's easiest
to plan the 5 year and bring it back to the monthly. It's important to
have a map of where you're going and have stops along the way to
reevaluate and see if there is an obstacle or something that needs
adjustments. Don't let the number hold you back. Just do what you need
to do each day to get there. You may come up short or you may more
than double your goal, like we did.
