Folks, we have been getting many complaints lately that
spammers have been way too active on this great yahoo group.
For years we've tried to protect our members from excessive
public and private solicitation by keeping the rules fairly tight.
But as this list continues to grow and maintain a great reputation,
spammers are finding it.
Growth has its ups and downs. In your home business, get ready
for it and learn to deal with it instead of squelching it.
And when negatives arise, analyze them and come up with a
plan and a process to be able to offer successful answers to
your clients, vendors and business partners.
So... about this problem... the moderators and I continue to discuss
what to do about this spam issue.
We are getting many, many new posts every day that have to
be manually opened and approved. You can't imagine what it is
like to moderate a group like this and we are so blessed to have
Vickie handling things so well.
We are considering several options, one of which is to close
the group.
But until we do, here is what I would recommend to those of
you who seriously want to learn about home business but don't
appreciate the spam.
Join our sister website - http://www.EAHlive.com.
EAH stands for Entrepreneurs at Home.
It is managed by my business partner Sharyn Law-Davis
from Australia who currently lives in Saudi Arabia.
We met last summer at my annual home business conference in
Atlanta and decided then to partner together to create this site.
So if you're interested in learning about home business and are
serious about changing your life and having your own home business,
join.
It has a 50% affiliate program.
The other advice I can give you is not to respond to people who
say they are from this list and who email you privately.
It is a common marketing tactic to join lists like this, gain the trust of
its members, then spam it individually and corporately.
We don't appreciate folks taking advantage of our good group like that
and do tend to boot folks we think are crossing the line.
But we can't do anything about those who spam our members privately
so we do appreciate it when you let us know that is happening.
I really am thrilled that this group has continued to thrive for so long
but I have been concerned for quite awhile that it's days may be numbered.
Check out our sister site and consider taking your conversation to the
forum there. It's totally safe.
I sincerely appreciate each of you! You make this group what it is -
wonderful!
So many books, so little time...
